San Anselmo council candidates find common ground

"I've got a proven track record of collegiality and effectiveness with my fellow board members," Greene said. "I understand what the different interest groups are and am able to forge compromise and consensus."

Greene pointed to the passage of a new maximum floor-area-ratio requirement that limits monster homes as one of his major accomplishments on the board.

Flood election - dissing the voter

I don't believe that any boogyman, or fear of evil, should be given sufficient emphasis to cancel fundamental principles of democracy. Just as the boogyman of "international terrorism" does not justify lying to start a war, use of torture, indefinite confinement, abrogation of habeas corpus or spying on Americans, the specter of a flood does not justify abrogating the rights of the people to vote in secret, and to be free of taxation without consent.

Ross Valley voters deserve an apology
